This week, the following webinars are dedicated to the school community, including parents: Ambizione Italia for Youth, Coding Girls, Factor J, Health4U, OpenSPACE, Rising Youth, Fully Enjoy the Internet. Proximate labs include OpenSPACE and Smart & Heart Rome.
Young men and women, as well as workers seeking professional requalification, can also enjoy the courses organised by Ambizione Italia for Youth, while Job Digital Lab, the programme promoted with ING Italia, will hold practical courses for everyone.
Tomorrow – Tuesday, February 8 – the Safer Internet Day is dedicated to a safe and aware use of the Internet. In Italy, events will be coordinated by Generazioni Connesse, which is currently celebrating its tenth year of activity. The Fondazione Mondo Digitale is a member of the consulting committee.
Activities include the field trip to Pisa with CodyTrip and the appointments dedicated to the Safer Internet Day by various projects. Fully Enjoy the Internet will also involve parents [see news].
Project Smart & Heart Rome will hold various labs with FMD experts in the Innovation Gyms of Tor Bella Monaca, Casal Monastero and Ostia. Similarly, Project OpenSPACE will hold labs in the Innovation Gyms organised in suburban schools in Milan, Bari, Reggio Calabria and Palermo.
Project Social Hosting Hub will introduce children to emotions on-line with FavolApp, a lab organised in collaboration with USR Toscana, while older children will address the topic of on-line reputation. A Health4U webinar will address gambling and gaming addiction, while Rising Youth will explore techniques for predictive data modelling.
Project Trust aWARE is currently conducting research to identify how citizens use their devices and the Internet, what measures they adopt to safeguard their privacy, their understanding of on-line risks and their main educational needs. On February 7-9, discussion groups by project partners will address youth, adults and elders.
Also tomorrow, Mirta Michilli will participate in the #ImaginePossible event promoted by the Fondazione Lars Magnus Ericsson to explore how improved connectivity can boost didactics, making it more accessible and enticing.
On Friday, February 11, Project Factor J organised with Janssen Italia will hold "Developing Trust in Science and Research."
Equality, diversity and inclusion are the three key word of the 7th International Day for Women and Girls in Science, a challenge that sees us transversally at work on a series of projects and especially with Programme Coding Girls.
