World Refugee Day in Arezzo will be celebrated on July 9 with an open event dedicated to "Images, Voices, Sounds and Tastes from Around the World".
The event is promoted and organized by a “hybrid” alliance of institutions and associations lead by Arci Arezzo.
Starting at 5:30 pm at the Parco del Colle Pionta, speakers will provide their experience beginning with Mirella Ricci, Vice-President of the Province of Arezzo and Stefania Magi, Councilor for Integration Policies for Arezzo and Tito Anisuzzaman, President of the Bangladesh Cultural Association.
Other speakers come from farther away: Adel and Moussa will bring the experience of the Ricominciodatre pilot project from Rome, a project developed by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale to support the autonomy and job insertion of Centro Enea guests.
Adel (subsidiary protection) is 30 years old and from Sudan. Thanks to Project Ricominciodatre, Adel has attended a 20-hour course to obtain a scooter license and an 80-hour course to receive ECDL Certification at the ITIS E. Fermi in Rome. He has participated in an internship at the Queens Servizi social cooperative managed by guidata da Reyna Victoria Terrones Castro, Vice-President of Confcooperative Lazio.
Moussa is 38 and comes from Mauritania. He has a degree in Political Sciences and has worked in his country as a Sales Manager for Mattel Telecommunications. In Italy, he has worked a shop assistant and waiter. He spends a lot of his free time in training: he has earned a Cisco Certification – CCNA, an ECDL and a scooter license. He also participated in a full immersion course at E. Fermi in Rome where he prepared for an internship at Unidata, where he assembled wireless components.
