“Accelerated” School

Following the Christmas break, activities have begun again for students  participating in Project IoT Acceleration. Today, the appointment is at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym for students from IIS Celestino Rosatelli in Rieti, one of the six participating schools. The lab will be held by Coach Luca Frogheri.

IoT Acceleration, promoted by the Fondazione Lars Magnus Ericsson and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, is a project-competition that aims to introduce new generations to the “connected society” and avoid phenomena such as educational, skill and digital mismatch. The project addresses upper school students, orienting students towards technical and scientific culture, promoting a responsible use of connected devices. With a special focus on mobility, transport and tourism, 220 young men and women will follow courses and 20 will be admitted to “accelerated” programmes, using a variety of devices, including the Ericsson IoT Accelerator.

In the video, a quick chat with Electronic Systems Technology and Design Professor Gabriella Gallo at the IIS Rosatelli School recorded at the project presentation during the Phyrtual Innovation Week (Oct. 3-8, 2016).
