50 Digital Ambassadors

“In these years, we have tried to develop a European awareness in our citizens. Indeed, Europe Direct is not only an information desk, but also a forum for discussion, debate, aggregation and awareness raising. This is how the Mayor of Reggio Calabria, Giuseppe Falcomatà, presented the new services of the Europe Direct Office [see news: Smart for Europe].

The activities promoted in synergy with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale through Project Smart for Europe involve 50 ambassadors acting as digital facilitators for the entire local community.

How does one become a digital ambassador? Our search has already begun on social media, as announced by Giulia Melissari. “We can’t wait to start. From today, we begin looking for candidates through the links present on the social profiles of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale or by contacting Europe Direct. We will create a physical and virtual training space to develop a community, open to youth and citizens of all ages, to provide a contribution to the innovative processes underway in our city.”

Become a Digital Ambassador with Smart for Europe!

If you live in the Province of Reggio Calabria, you can participate in its digital transformation and help citizens to use technology for communicating, sharing and accessing new digital services. Participate in the five-module training course. We will speak about digital rights and principles, safe surfing, privacy, fake news, communications and sociality.
