3 Months of #DigitalRestart

Only three months after the launch of the global Digital Skilling initiative, 10 million people in 231 countries are acquiring new digital skills through on-line courses and resources provided for free by the Microsoft Corp., LinkedIn and GitHub [see: Plan for the Diffusion of Digital Skills: Microsoft, LinkedIn and GitHub reach 10 million people around the world during the first three months of the intiative].

In Italy, 90,000 individuals have been involved in this global initiative. Indeed, the long-term plans for the Italian “Ambizione Italia #DigitalRestart” look to the world of education and digital competences as a pillar for the continued growth of the country after the health emergency. The plan focuses on education, training and updating courses with the objective of reaching 1.5 million students, professionals and unemployed individuals over the next three years.

The Fondazione Mondo Digitale is testing an educational programme, which began in June, for updating the professional competences of personnel at Rome’s Work Orientation Centres [see news: DigitalRestart Kicks Off].
