A 24 Enterprise Challenge

Today, June 14, the Regione Lazio holds its final round to present awards to the most innovative local enterprises that present a high potential growth rate, excellence and competence. Out of the more than 250 applications, 24 innovative enterprises will compete in the final round today presenting their idea in a 3-minute pitch to try to clinch the 70,000-euro in awards.

Mirta Michilli, Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, is one of the jury members who selected the finalists.

The pitches will be held today at 9:30 am at Lazio Innova in Rome (Via Marco Aurelio 26 A).

 

Four Awards

Best Start-up (€20,000) is dedicated to the enterprise or start-up that proposes the best innovative solution in one of the following sectors: Agricultural and Food technology, Augmented Reality, Automotive, Big Data/Data Analysis, Cloud computing, IT security, E-health, E-learning, Fintech, Green, Internet of Things, Legal Tech, Smart City, Smart Home, Virtual Reality.

Best SME (€20,000) is reserved to a Lazio region start-up (one to five years old) that proposes or has developed the best innovative solution in the same sectors as above.

Best Social Innovation Project (€20,000) is reserved to a Lazio region SMEs that propose or have developed the best social innovation project, an enterprise project for a product, service, solution or model that will innovatively satisfy social needs;

Best Start-up incubated in a Regione Lazio “Spazio Attivo” (€10,000) is reserved to a Lazio region start-up (one to five years old) that has been incubated in a Regione Lazio “Spazio Attivo” and which proposes or has developed the best innovative solution in the sectors mentioned above.

 

Developed also thanks to the use of European funds, the www.lazioinnovatore.it platform has connected, in just a few months, business ideas and enterprises looking for new talent to provide greater visibility to innovators, who can be identified via a geo-referenced map in a variety of sectors: Aerospace, Agri-food, Audiovisuals, Creative Industries, Life Sciences, Digital Manufacturing, Security, Technology for Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Social Innovation.
