Design and experiment an innovative training course with schools to develop technical, entrepreneurial, digital, and financial skills, as well as life skills, as for over 30 years the World Health Organization has defined all the psychosocial, personal and soft skills that are necessary to help young people choose their future.
This is the main objective of I Had an Idea!, a pilot project for the empowerment of young women, promoted for the first time in Europe and Italy by Room to Read and the Mondo Fondazione Mondo Digitale in collaboration with the Fondazione per l’Educazione finanziaria e al Risparmio (FEduF), Consorzio Arca and L’Altra Napoli. Two schools are involved, the Vittorio Veneto in Naples and the Pietro Piazza Professional Institute for Food and Wine and Hotel Hospitality in Palermo, for a total of seven second and third year classes (4 in Naples and 3 in Palermo) and 133 students, mostly young women.
The project, the training activities, and the entrepreneurial ideas developed by the teams of male and female students during the course in Palermo will be presented on February 28 at the auditorium of the Pietro Piazza Institute. During the event, the students who completed the course will share their experience and “pass the baton” to the new classes, which begin their educational adventure in March.
