e-Inclusion Days: Digital literacy & Inclusive E-Government is an initiative promoted by the European Commission (Directorate General for Information Society and Media) that will be held in Brussels on October 12-13, 2010.
The first day is dedicated to digital literacy and will feature the participation of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, a partner in the ADD ME! Activating drivers for digital empowerment in Europe Project coordinated by CATTID – Centre for Television Applications and Distance Education Techniques at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome.
Stefania Della Corte, representing the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, will present Project Silver, Stimulating ICT learning for Actice EU Eldersin the context of the Community Action Programme for Lifelong Learning. Italy, Spain, Romania and Belgium are experimenting a lifelong learning programme for adults through the use of ICT and an inter-generational learning model – Grandparents on the Internet, that has involved over 1000 senior citizens, 500 student-tutors and 50 teachers.
