There only were two Romanian projects in the 2007 edition and both came from the Capital City, Bucharest. This year, ten days before the deadline there are already 11 projects, not even counting the “twinned” ones.
Amongst the various projects, ranging from inter-culture to alternative energy sources, there is even a project from the District of Neamt in Moldavia. This is the area of origin of nearly the entire Romanian community living along the Roman coast between S. Marinella and Ladispoli.
Project WKS, developed by the “Veniamin Costachi” Professional Institute, entails a platform that allows content to be uploaded which can then be read on any type of tool from a PC to a mobile phone.
The WKS E-BOOK is available for free download, including print, with an international Creative Commons non-commercial license. The educational and didactic applications are practically infinite, as are the extensions, both for text and multimedia materials.
