Only one week after its official presentation, the A Drop in the Ocean video obtains its first recognition thanks to the Yeff! Network. It is one of the four projects from different countries selected to participate in the Forum Yeff 2009.
Yeff! (Young European Film Forum for Cultural Diversity) is a network of eleven countries that organises a forum allowing young Europeans to meet and present films and videos they have produced on the issue of cultural diversity.
In each country of the YEFF! Network, a partner – the Fondazione Ismu for Italy – coordinates the project and selects a video to participate in the forum.
This year, one of the authors of the “A Drop in the Ocean” video, made by the students of the Industrial Technical A. Einstein Institute in Rome for Project Digital Bridge, a technological bridge with the Saharawi People, will be able to participate free-of-charge in the “YEFF! Campus” that will be held in Göteborg, Sweden from July 15 to 29.
The Campus is also a laboratory with an intense workshop programme. Under the direction of directors and young visual communication experts, the four participating youths will produce a video from the idea to the final editing phase.
The “A Drop in the Ocean” short feature was produced as part of the Sound and Image Project, designed and coordinated by Prof. Maurizio Pierantozzi (photo).
