The third edition of the International City of Rome Robotics Trophy was held on May 7th in the Protomoteca Room of the Rome City Hall, the Campidoglio. Fondazione Mondo Digitale President Tullio De Mauro and Director General Mirta Michilli inaugurated the competition and exhibition hall at 9:30 am.
The competitions, which were held from 10 am to 3 pm, witnessed robots designed and assembled by students competing in various categories. The award presentation began at 3:30 pm.
The exhibition area for the robots designed by Italian school students was open for the entire day. The fair presented an entire range of exhibits from the initial experiences of primary school students and robotic solidarity stories to applications for students with special needs. The exhibition area, organised by Università Campus Biomedico di Roma, also featured the most recent biomedical robotic applications for rehabilitation and didactics.
The morning also featured the seminar for teachers on School and Robotics – An Evolving Relationship.
