Smart & Heart Rome: codesigning local services

With the three-year Smart & Heart Rome programme, we aim to develop a model capable of making communities active, inclusive, and responsible to promote cultural growth and full citizenship for local needs. We begin with suburbs, which are "placed at the centre" of the public attention of institutions and citizens, so that everyone can enjoy the right to inclusive and quality education, capable of generating significant social and cultural transformations and scalable and sustainable innovation processes.

On March 2, the Innovation Gym at the  Carlo Urbani  Institute in Ostia will host a creative marathon involving schools, associations, and local players to plan local digital and sustainable transformation. A co-planning session with the Lego® Serious Play® methodology will aim to identify ideas of social innovation, as well as civic and sustainable participation, dedicated to Rome’s Municipio X.

The group engages in the creation of local digital services (e.g., apps, sites). Some of the prototypes will be presented at the Digital Citizenship Festival in May 2023.
