Word of Mouth on the Web

What is the impact of misinformation on society? What are the risks of fake news and why do they spread so rapidly? Every day, people receive information from a wide range of different means of communication. Selecting sources and relying on the most reliable ones is not always easy, as information is not only provided by traditional media, but also by blogs and social networks. The web is also used to spread on-line frauds designed to steal user data and personal information. Thus, it is important to have the tools and understanding necessary not to be cheated.

Fully Enjoy the Internet begins its first “academic year” at the University for Senior Citizens in Genoa. Today (3:00-4:30 pm), the second module will be dedicated to Learning to Distinguish True and False.

The meeting will be opened by Cristina Malaspina, Product Marketing Manager, Google Safety.

The session will be held by Roberto Raspa, engineer, professor and technology enthusiast and lab specialist.
