The educational tour of Coding Girls kicked off yesterday at IIS Falcone-Righi in Corsico. The programme, which is promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and the American Embassy in Italy in collaboration with Microsoft, will stop in Milan, Rome and Naples with a final hackathon in each city [see news Coding Girls on Tour].
Here is what happened on the first day from a variety of points of view, thanks to the interviews conducted by Cecilia Stajano, FMD School Innovation Coordinator.
Giusy Moroni, Headmaster, IIS Gandini-Verri in Lodi
Paola Pupilli, Computer Science Professor at IIS Falcone-Righi
Federica and Gaia, students at IIS Gandini-Verri
Emily Thomforde, Code Educator and Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematics (STEAM) Specialist
And there also was a quirk that proved very gratifying to the young tutors. At the IIS Gandini-Verri School in Lodi, the boys grew curious and asked to participate in the coding session. A jovial and fun collaboration in the Computer Lab, explained to us by Tutor Alessia.
And here are Giuditta and Stefano who developed a videogame together.
