We begin the new week, once again, in Palermo, as today Schools remember Judge Paolo Borsellino and his security personnel, Agostino Catalano, Emanuela Loi, Claudio Traina, Vincenzo Li Muli, and Walter Eddie Cosina, 29 years after the Via D’Amelio Massacre (July 19, 1992).  

The summer schools on digital citizenship continue to provide all participants with a digital and cultural toolkit to interpret the world and live healthily in any context, both physical and virtual. Moreover, our service projects will continue to improve the digital, functional and soft skills of participants: Ambizione Italia for Youth and  School of Internet for Everyone. The project promoted by TIM as part of the national Operation Digital Risorgimento Programme will organise four summer camps for university students, in collaboration with Vivere Ateneo, a student association at the University of Palermo.

This week’s events include Re-generative Energy for a Recovery Led by Women will be held today – Monday, July 19 (9:00 am – 1:00 pm) – by the University of Milan at the presence of Italian Minister for Equal Opportunities and Family, Elena Bonetti. FMD Director General Mirta Michilli will participate in the roundtable on “Women and Social Innovation” at 10:20. [see news: Re-generative Energy].

Moreover, the Enterprise Garden, a summer school on entrepreneurial culture conceived by the Fondazione Golinelli will also be inaugurated today. The FMD collaborates with digital manufacturing labs.

We would like to once again mention two research projects that require the help of parents and students. We invite all students to collaborate in an international research project on risky behaviour on-line [see news: Announcement for Students]. Parents, instead, are invited to participate in the study to orient the new generations towards jobs without stereotypes [see news: Announcement for Parents].

We are looking for teachers and students (aged 12-17) to test the prototype of a learning game app. Erasmus+ Project “Knights of the European Grail” is cofounded by the European Union [see news: Amidst Game and Mystery].

Also, as we approach the end of the month, we wish to remind you that deadline for project submission and candidatures to the International Global Junior Challenge dedicated to Tullio De Mauro has been extended to July 31.
