Over 21 million Italians have acquired a digital identity document, in addition to the traditional card, that allows them to access on-line services for the “SPID” system. Are we aware of the fact that digital citizenship includes rights and duties? Do we know what they are? Are we capable of protecting our digital identity?

This week opens up with a new series of appointments for the summer school on digital citizenship that will provide participants with the digital and cultural toolkit necessary to interpret the world and live healthily in any context, physical or virtual as the web [see news: A Summer to Learn e Summer Camp with TIM].

Following the success of the previous courses held with the City of Rome, the new intermediate course on  Multimedia Communication will begin on June 23. The course will address multimedia communication tools and techniques: graphic and sound design, videomaking, multimedia marketing, multimedia CVs, etc. Register on-line to attend the course.

 Service projects involving all citizens to improve digital, functional and soft skills include Ambizione Italia for Youth, Job Digital Lab and School of Internet for Everyone. Tomorrow, will the last session for Project Job Digital Lab. The final event will be held on June 24 [see news: Empathy and Critical Thinking]. Moreover, on the same day, there will also be the final event for Project Made Onlife in Venice.

Activities kick off for European project TRUST Aware - Enhancing Digital Security, Privacy and Trust in software on June 23-24. The project, which is financed by the European Commission’s "Citizens' Security" (Horizon 2020), will last 36 months and involves 12 partners from 7 countries (Italy, Spain, Romania, France, Ireland, Czech Republic, and Finland). The project will be coordinated by a Spanish organisation: Tree Technology Sa.

This week’s appointments include the Roma Futura: Growing Up in the Third Millennium with a Rome of Innovation and Knowledge event on Thursday, June 24 at 5:30 pm.

Also on Thursday, there will be a double appointment with FMD Director General Mirta Michilli at the Forum PA (June 21-25, 2021): at 9:00 with a Un caffé con... to answer questions by Annalisa Gramigna and Michele Melchionda and from 2-4 pm with the roundtable on Starting Again from People: Education, Resarch, Skills for Work and Competitiveness.

We would also like to remind you that deadline for project submission and candidatures to the International Global Junior Challenge dedicated to Tullio De Mauro has been extended to July 31.
