Different cultures and realities, Islam and Christianity, use new technologies to exchange opinions and share common experiences. The protagonists are the students in the German Srm Meinerzhagen School and the Egyptian Pdsk Cairo School.

The first phase was characterized by exchanges via chat, e-mail and videos to help the students get to know each other, while the second phase featured hospitality by families and cooperation agencies that allowed the children to meet in person.

The project begain in 2007 following the interests expressed by various students on Egyptian history. To date, 36 students aged 10 to 16 have participated in the project.

"A dedicated software and a German on-line service allowed the students to exchange information and work in real time with the Egyptian students on a common homepage," recounts Helga Bothe, a teacher at SRM Meinezaghen. “Modern technologies allow the students to become acquainted with each other and exchange information."

The schools keep in touch daily via chat and are organizing another trip to meet again.
