Turning Air into Sound

Turning Air into Sound
On March 15, Leonello Tarabella, a computer musician at the Pisa National Research Council (CNR) will inaugurate Romecup – Excellence in Robotics in Rome at the Rome University of Tor Vergata.

A computer music performance will open the multi-event that this year will address a series of contexts, ranging from educational robotics to automation, and from microscopic sensors to rehabilitative exoskeletons. Moreover, in the framework of competitions and demos in the showcase area, this year, RomeCup introduces computer music to extend the range of expressive potential presented to participants.

Tarabella explains the radical transformation underway in music: the search for a sound that has unveiled a new range of opportunities. The artist will also hold an interactive workshop on this subject.

The performance will have the technical support of the Masters in Sound and Performance Engineering at Tor Vergata, which has been conducting research in this field for years.

Ready to listen? Human-machine interaction is also this.

Gli interventi saranno supportati tecnicamente dal Master in Ingegneria del suono e della spettacolo della stessa università, che ormai da diversi anni conduce ricerche approfondite sulla sintesi sonora.

Pronti all'ascolto? L'interazione uomo macchina passa anche da qui.
