This year, for the first time, the school held a digital literacy course for adults with the Grandparents on the Internet inter-generational model.
Sixteen over-sixties from the nearby Farnesina Elderly Center returned to school and attended the course.
For Anna Rita Tamponi, Headmaster at Itis Bernini, the course was “extremely positive” for various reasons ranging from the interaction of the school with the neighborhood to the effects of the project on didactic activities.
Professor Corrado Stillo, who coordinated the TeleMouse course, is enthusiastic. “Projects such as these are what school is all about!” he declared to Cecilia Stajano, who is conducting a series of interviews to monitor the state of the project.
Students’ comments have been interesting, too. Andrea and Flavio, at their first experience with “inverted” teaching, found the initiative fulfilling.
