Technology Transfer

During the first Talent Tour development marathon promoted by Invitalia at the University of Palermo, we met with Marcantonio Ruisi, Professor of Enterprise Strategy and Policy at the University of Palermo and Delegate for the Coordination of Activities to Promote Innovative Spin-offs and Start-ups.

Ruisi is responsible for technology transfer. He helps students and professors to exploit innovative research activity and place its results on the market.

In the video, Ruisi explains some of the activities conducted at the University of Palermo, including the Contamination Lab (a local initiative) and StartCup (a national format) as well as the importance of contests and hackathons on crucial issues, such as the Talent Tour, which provide important opportunities to develop new forms of contamination between knowledge and competences [see news: Ideas for the Environment].
