The “Renato Annini” Elderly Centre in Villa Lais is in the Tuscolano Neighbourhood (Municipio VII), one of Rome’s “oldest” areas with an age index of 185.4% (the Roman average is 163.8).

The Tuscolano Neighbourhood, which is as big as Lecce, has as many residents as Catania: more than. 300,000. And nearly 44% of residents live alone in single-person families. This is the context for Project Becoming Digital, promoted with the City of Rome.

Today, Cecilia Stajano, School Innovation Manager for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, will be at the elderly centre in Villa Lais to meet with President Dontao Iasenzio and Maria Palpini, a long-standing member.

Cecilia will be with Gabriele and Alessandro, from the Roma 100 Scout Group, who will teach the elders how to use all of the functions available on smartphones.
