Yesterday, Cecilia Stajano, School Innovation Coordinator for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, met with the students at the Liceo scientifico Ignazio Vian in Bracciano, who are preparing for a new adventure. Starting on January 17, at 2:30 pm, they will participate in Project Grandparents on the Internet (GOI), the digital and functional literacy programme for elders based on the intergenerational learning model. Class 5N, which includes 21 students, will be coordinated by Professors Tania Fantozzi e Andrea Piana.

Over the course of 15 editions of GOI, 21,800 students have tutored 37,000 elders on the use of Internet, from both desktop and mobile devices, and helped them explore digital services provided by public administrations. The activities have been coordinated by 2164 teachers. Young and old on social media are also protagonists of storytelling to promote their passion for lifelong learning virally.

You can download the educational kit from www.nonnisuinternet.it.

Davide and Sara will begin to work as tutors, introducing over-60s to the digital economy in January.
