The Ministry for Institutional Reform and the Department for Institutional Reforms officially launched the platform for the compilation of the on-line questionnaires on July 8, 2013. Thousands of questionnaires have already been completed, a sign that citizens are still interested in the democratic process of institutional reform.
Moreover, the consultation is an important opportunity to bring citizens into closer touch with the web as a public tool as indicated in the objectives of the Digital Agenda. A network of partners is working on strengthening and increasing this public participation.
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale has turned to its network of Knowledge Volunteers and to the elderly centers where it support the “less connected” over sixties.
Giorgio (68) is the Vice President of the "Casa delle culture e delle generazioni" elderly centre. He participated as he felt it was an “opportunity to provide citizens with a say in the national decision-making process. Maddalena (66) manages the library at the center. She is a firm believer in this consultation as it allows people to provide a signal as to where they wish the future to turn.
Throughout the summer, elderly centres in all of Italy will welcome citizens who wish to complete the questionnaire … a sort of Constitutional Summer Camp.
You can participate, too. Fill out the questionnaire.
