QUADRARO, MANZELLA (PL): "THE INNOVATION GYM IS ANOTHER STEP TOWARDSD THE FUTURE"
(OMNIROMA) Roma, 21 MAR - "Yesterday, the Rome Città Educativa in the Quadraro neighbourhood inaugurated an Innovation Gym. Phyrtual is a free space, open to everyone, to promote innovation and creativity in every form: technological, social and civic. It’s another small, but concrete step that characterizes a changing city. We now speak about start-ups and smart cities and citizens are called to work on a double front. On the one hand, they must create a new eco-system for enterprises that will allow them to develop, flourish and move to Rome; on the other, they must work to prepare our new generations to meet this challenge. We need to introduce innovation, technology and enterprise into schools, universities and all of our educational structures. This is what the Innovation Gym does. It opens a school for the neighbourhood: for students, elders, enterprises and professional figures. It brings them into contact with innovation, technology and change. It’s a beautiful idea, based on a foreign experience and transformed into a local reality that we must learn to replicate to create a truly European metropolitan region.”
