As part of the Esperienza Italia 150, the Italian Network for Popular Culture (Rete Italiana di Cultura Popolare) will host the States General of Popular Culture for public and private subjects operating on socio-cultural policies at both the the local and national levels. The event will be held in Turin (Palazzo Reale, Palazzo Carignan and the Officine Grandi Riparazioni) from September 22-27, 2011.
On Tuesday, September 27th at 4 pm, the Italian Network for Popular Culture, the Fondazione CRT and other local institutions will present a common archive for popular culture. This on-line archived is based on the De Mauro Archive and will include a platform for the grassroots acquisition and sharing of popular knowledge and a web radio. At 5 pm, Tullio De Mauro will close the event with a lectio magistralis on “The Network of Local Cultures and Civil and Intellectual Life.”
