The Tullio Levi Civita scientific lyceum in Rome participates in the first web meeting with the Anya Lewoh Lyceum, the school that it is twinned with in Fontem (Cameroon). It’s Project Digital Bridge, a technological bridge with Cameroon that eliminates geographical and social barriers.

In order to break the ice and become acquainted, students in Rome and Fontem described their cities, schools and life styles. Amongst others, Martin Nkafu, Head of Project Digital Bridge in Cameroon and President of LATS (Lebialem Association for Twining of Schools), was present in Rome.

“We must overcome mental barriers and train the new generations to feel closer to their friends in Fontem who have much to teach us,” explains Headmaster Alberto Cataneo. “It’s a very stimulating experience. It interrupts school routine and allows students to invent a new way of learning.”

“Digital Bridge, a technological bridge with Cameroon ” is an operative plan for digital and social inclusion for the schools in the Region of Lebialem, Municipality of Menji in Cameroon. The project is financed by the Regione Lazio, coordinated by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and locally implemented by the Schools Network (SIR) in Rome and the Lebialem Association for Twining of Schools.
