Silver: Case Study in Romania

The research activities of Project Silver: Stimulating ICT Learning for Active Eu Elders have begun in Romania. From October 11-13, the staff of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale was present in IaÅŸi to document the first case study on activities to make the elderly literate. The activity was conducted in collaboration with the Societatea Romana Pentru Educatie Permanenta.

Two more case studies will be developed in Belgium and Italy to analyse the effect of cultural differences on intergenerational and collaborative learning processes.

The University of Edinburgh (UK) will coordinate all research activity, evaluation of learning processes, assessment of materials (tests, manuals, etc.) and knowledge codification. The Fondazione Mondo Digitale coordinates the project, promotes international meetings and the development of an open community of social innovators that will become part of the on-line learning environment.
