For the entire period during which didactic activities in schools will be suspended, we will provide a new online resource every day for educators and trainers. Today, it is about mathematics and physics.
Have you ever seen Lorenzo Baglioni’s original lessons?
"They are extremely well-prepared video lessons that have been professionally filmed and edited with rigorous scientific content and a special characteristic. They are funny. They are sung and danced.” This is how Cristiana Zambon [@Ritaglidiclasse] reviews them on her blog: Righe, quadretti e byte [see post (in Italian): Risorse flipped e divulgazione scientifica in chiave comica].
Ruffini’s Theorem is sung by a mathematical rapper with tatooed theorems and a golden calculator hanging off his neck. It was fun and my curiosity drove me to look for further information about the author. I discovered on his Facebook Page that Lorenzo has a prestigious academic curriculum with a degree and PhD in Mathematics, as well as an author and actor.
He also has a similarly talented brother, Michele, who, amongst many other projects, is a member of the “I Supplenti Italiani” (The Italian Supply Teachers) Boy Band that sings the Laws of Kepler.
Scientific lessons in a comic key are such a mad idea that they are successful. Their resources draw you in and are precious both for teachers and students.
