TIM and the City of Genoa are collaborating to promote the use of the Fascicolo del Cittadino, a file of personal digital information, thanks to Project School of Internet for Everyone. This is a free educational programme developed in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale that is dedicated to individuals of all ages. Participants require no specific initial skills, and they learn to use applications and digital services that can simplify daily life and activities.

Starting on November 16, a custom-tailored version of “Improving Life through Digital Tools” will provide residents of Genoa and its metropolitan area with two special sessions. The first will be dedicated to the use of the SPID, the digital identity system that is necessary to safely access on-line services, while the second will address the Fascicolo del Cittadino, a file of personal digital information to access data, documents and use the on-line services of the City of Genoa, rapidly and easily.

Each session will last one hour, one per week, to allow participants to create and activate their digital identity and the use the “Fascicolo del cittadino,” between one session and the next.

“This is an initiative that aims to accompany citizens through the process of digital transformation,” explains Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Civic Services Massimo Nicolò, "and allow them to enjoy our services and help those who still need to become familiar with digital systems.”

“Operation Digital Risorgimento is a hub that provides free educational content and trains participants on basic digital skills,” points out Andrea Laudadio, TIM Academy, Development & Recruiting Manager. “The programme, which includes the School of Internet for Everyone, addresses citizens that need to acquire specific digital skills. Our collaboration with the City of Genoa addresses this point. Data on the use of digital tools highlight the importance of the transformation underway in our country. This will require concrete actions on human capital. We must provide new models of knowledge.”
