The objective of Project TRUST aWARE - Enhancing Digital Security, Privacy and TRUST in softWARE, financed by the European Commission’s "Citizens' Security" Fund (Horizon 2020), is to provide citizens with efficient tools to protect their freedom, safety and privacy.
The project partnership is developing courses to help students, youth, adults and elders understand the threats present on the Internet and digital devices, and how to adopt safe behaviour.
The project also aims to develop tools to identify and counter threats, in collaboration with companies at the forefront in this sector, apply a codesigning model that involves citizens in the analysis of needs based on the use of Internet and devices, and testing and evaluating prototypes.
The actions of the TRUST aWARE partnership aim to minimize the impact of IT threats, making users aware of their actions, promoting collective awareness and encouraging the use of secure digital devices that preserve S&P in conformity to regulations.
