Agnieszka (26) is very worried about her future. Her internship as a secretary is about to end and there are no job opportunities on the horizon. While she looks through the offers available at the employment centre, she notices an announcement: the Fondazione Mondo Digitale offers the opportunity to take the Microsoft Certification Exams for free. Agnieszka jots down the phone numbers and when she does a quick search on the Internet, she discovers that the MOS Certifications are widely accepted, even abroad. She passes her tests and begins to look for a job again, not any job, her job.

Agnieszka’s story was narrated in the Voice Over Blog last July (see Non basta essere nativi digitali per avere le competenze giuste per il lavoro). This is just one of many true stories that we have used to humanize the statistics of the voucher campaign promoted by Microsoft and Telecentre Europe, in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Tesi Automazione, an organization that perfects and certifies the skills of young men and women and helps them to access the working world.
We also wrote about successful stories regarding the eSkills for Jobs Competition. Now, Agnieszka has been selected and invited to participate in the e-Skills for Jobs High-Level Conference, which will be held on October 30 in Rome.
