Amidst dance, song and theatre, the 157° circolo didattico Torrimpietra celebrated the end of the school year last Tuesday. It was the perfect opportunity to present one of the most important projects in which they participated: Digital Bridge, a technological bridge with Cameroon.
Martin Nkafu, Head of the Project in Cameroon, was present as the students dedicated a song to their friends in Cameroon: “Yellow Submarine” by the Beatles. As one of the children explains: “It0s a song about blue skies, clean seas and joy, very different from the news we see today.”
“Thanks to the twinning with the school in Fontem, you will be able to grow together and plan a better future. Everyone of you can do it.” This was the message launched by Martin Nkafu and Alessio Neri for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
Digital Bridge was also the subject at another school, the Liceo ginnasio "I. Kant" in Rome, where the students in class II A, who are about to end their school year, presented a detailed report on the history of Cameroon, including literature, sports, religion and the condition of women. Students and teachers from this school will soon be involved in the project.
