Last week witnessed the creation of new local collaborative alliances thanks to the coordinators working tirelessly for the School of Internet for Everyone, the largest on-line educational drive to help individuals who wish to improve their use of digital tools in everyday life. School of Internet for Everyone is promoted by TIM in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale as part of the national Operation Digital Risorgimento Programme.
The new educational week opens with 28 virtual classrooms for 650 citizens of all ages and from all regions. Once again, the majority is represented by women (60%) and citizens aged over-65 (40%); however, working adults (25-64) are also numerous and represent 50% of all participants. Most participants are public or private employees, while less than 10% has an independent activity as an entrepreneur or professional; just over 10% are in search of employment.
The majority of participants have a high school diploma (48%), a university degree (30%) or a middle school diploma (16%).
