More recruitment, inclusion and new digital challenges

With the start of the new school year, the Ministry of Education and Merit announces an increase in teaching staff and measures for educational continuity and inclusion. By September, 41,901 new teachers will be appointed (covering 97.3% of regular positions) and 7,820 support teachers (covering 95.2%), with the confirmation of almost 58,000 substitute support teachers to ensure continuity for students with disabilities. 326 new headteachers and school managers (-14% of schools under temporary management) and 1,000 L2 teachers for Italian to foreign students will be appointed.

New educational challenges

Stability and inclusion are intertwined with innovation: artificial intelligence and digital technology require investment in teacher training and up-to-date teaching methods. With projects such as the Scuola del noi (School of Us), Fondazione Mondo Digitale supports educational communities and teachers in digital skills, the conscious use of AI and inclusive learning environments.
