Today the Robotics Centre at the Rome Città Educativa hosts the Istituto comprensivo Tullia Zevi classes 4 and 5 A, a total of 40 students, who will play with the WeDo Construction set and build and programme simple Lego models connected to a computer.
The lab, coordinated by young engineer Mohamed Gaber Haiba, allows the students to experience manual didactic operations, find alternative creative solutions and work in a group. They build simple animals, such as a fierce lioe, a starved alligator or a flying bird.
In particular, the Lego WeDo set promotes the development of:
• Manual abilities
• Relational abilities
• Knowledge about mathematics, Italian and science
• Transversal skills
Labs at the Rome Robotics Centre are available every day except for Wednesdays through June 2014.
