RomeCup 2010 Awards Ceremony

 

The Awards Ceremony for the 4th City of Rome International Robotics Trophy, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, took place in the City Hall Protomoteca. The winners, schools and universities, will participate in the World Robotics Championships in Singapore from June 19 to 25, 2010.
 
The Winners:
 
  • Roboeboli from the 2° Circolo didattico di Eboli (Salerno) for the Robocup Junior Dance Category
  • Turbo 1 from Itis Calvino in Genoa for the Robocup Junior Rescue Secondary Category
  • JVN-A from Itis Von Neumann in Rome for the Robocup Junior Soccer Secondary Open League Field A Category
  • JG1 B from Itis Galilei in Rome and Itis Von Neumann for the Robocup Junior Soccer Secondary Open League Field B Category
  • JG Light 1 from Itis Galilei and Itis Von Neumann for the Robocup Junior Soccer Secondary Light Weight League Field A Category
  • Los Hidalgos (Spain) for the Standard Platform League Category
 
The youngest winners are from the 2° Circolo didattico di Eboli, who won the Robocup Junior Dance category with the “Roboeboli” dancer team. In the other categories of RoboCup Junior, the protagonists were mostly from Roman upper schools. The teams from Itis Von Neumann and Galilei (Rome) and Itis Calvino from Genoa will be in Singapore (June 19-25) for the World Robotics Championships.
 
Four teams will be in Singapore for the Robocup Junior Soccer Secondary Open League Field B Category: Ipsia Da Vinci in Arcidosso (Leonardo B), from the Istituto superiore Manetti di Grosseto (Roboiti) and Ipsia Mozzali from Treviglio (Robomagut B).
 
The Robocup Mediterranean Open featured the participation, in the Standard Platform League category, of university teams from eight countries. The Spanish “Los Hidalgos” team will attend the Singapore Championships as the first placed team in thehumanoid robot soccer tournament, which featured the autonomous Nao.
 
The 4th edition of the City of Rome Internatiaonal Robotics Trophy was very successful and attended by students and teachers, attracted not only by the competitions, but also by the exhibition area showcasing over twenty success stories concerning research on robotics and artificial intelligence.
