The Seminar on “Educational Robotics – Training Robotics” that was held at the Turin “Salone Internazionale del Libro” on Sunday, May 16 witnessed the presence of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale that was there to promote the candidature of the City of Rome for the 2012 Robotics World Championship.
A rich agenda of meetings and events will animate the stand of the Ministry of Education, University and Research and the Regional School Department for Piedmont. Subjects will include the memorandum of understanding for the diffusion of Robotics in schools promoted by the Turin Ipsia G. Galilei School.

- Fiorella Operto, President of the Genoa Robotics School
- Arturo Baroncelli, Engelberger Robotics Prize recipient
- Alfonso Molina, Scientific Director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, and Professor at the University of Edinburgh
Enzo Marvaso, a professor at Ipsia Galilei, will chair the meeting.
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale, which has been working for many years on the diffusion of Robotics in all types and levels of schools, is working jointly with the Municipality of Rome for the candidature of the Capital to host the 2010 Robotics World Championship. The Promoting Committee includes the “A. Ruberti” Department of IT and Systemics of the La Sapienza University. Rome now contends the final with one other city.
