On Monday, May 12, the Roman LEIS (Lego Education Innovation Studio) at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym in the Rome Città Educativa will once again host designers from Class 4B at the Istituto comprensivo Via dell’Archeologia, chaperoned by Headmaster Cristina Tonelli.
The students will play with the WeDo Construction set and build and programme simple Lego models connected to a computer.
The lab, coordinated by young engineer Mohamed Gaber Haiba, allows the students to experience manual didactic operations, find alternative creative solutions and work in a group. They build simple animals, such as a fierce lion, a starved alligator or a flying bird.
In particular, the Lego WeDo set promotes the development of:
• Manual abilities
• Relational abilities
• Knowledge about mathematics, Italian and science
• Transversal skills

Labs at the Rome Robotics Centre are available every day except for Wednesdays through June 2014.
