In the Fab Lab at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym, Matteo Viscogliosi shows us a small emotional robot built by young children using digital manufacturing tools.
The lab introduces young makers to their emotions through facial expressions. The children learn to observe our eyes and the movements of our eyebrows and mouth to decode our moods and represent them graphically.
In the second part of the lab, each child chooses to produce a face depicting their “emotional avatar.” The faces are laser-cut from wood.
