RoboCup 2011: from Rome to Istanbul

 

Tomorrow, July 5, RoboCup 2011 starts in Istanbul, Turkey.  From July 5 to 11, teams from around the world will compete in four types of competitions, each divided into various categories according to robot and field characteristics:
 
   RoboCupSoccer
   RoboCupRescue
   RoboCup@Home
   RoboCupJunior
 
Twelve Italian teams will participate in the competition after qualifying in March at the RomeCup organized by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and in April in Catania through Robocup Junior Italia, organized by Robocup Jr ITALIA.
The largest delegation comes from Rome and will compete in the soccer matches with teams from 3 Roman high schools (ITIS Von Neumann and Galilei) and the Province of Rome (IIS Piazza della Resistenza di Monterotondo).
