The Robotics Centre at the Rome Città Educativa welcomes back the students from class 4A at the Istituto d'Istruzione Superiore Lucio Lombardo Radice, chaperoned by Prof Gabriella Cecchetti, and two students from class 2B accompanied by Prof Maria Luisa Bacaro. The students will study the potentialities of the Lego Mindstorms NXT kit that is based on a smart chip and includes:
The kit contains:
• A 32 bit NXT smart brick with a rechargeable battery
• 500 element+ robust construction system
• 3 interactive servo-motors with integrated encoders
• Ultrasound distance sensors
• Sound sensor
• Light sensor
• Pressure sensor
The students will build a line-follower robot equipped with sensors and then move on to designing and constructing a rescue robot.
Laboratories are held every day, except for Wednesday until June 2014.
