Sassari, Sardinia: the historical “Pasquale Tola” School is ready to kick-off its second year with Grandparents on the Internet.
The school has been a for 50 years helping local citizens and elders; now, in March, the first-degree secondary Pasquale Tola school is about to embark on its second year with the digital literacy plan for the elderly devised by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
The new courses are sponsored by the City of Sassari and will be open to the elders who have already completed the basic first year course. Moreover, in order to promote inter-generational dialogue, the school is piloting some new strategies, including a common recess period for elders and youngsters, as well as a series of tools to increase their sense of belonging (i.e., a bag with the school’s logo).
