Progress through Crisis

“My aim is to make the use of technology highly inclusive,” explains Antonella Ognibene, a primary school teacher at the Istituto comprensivo Luigi Pirandello - San Giovanni Bosco in Campobello di Mazara, in the Province of Trapani.

The Sicilian teacher, who is also a digital coordinator, has presented her candidature as an innovating teacher for the Global Junior Challenge 2021. The objective of inclusiveness, applied to various activities and proposals, has allowed her to implement projects for students and the school, she explains, and to protect the students from the consequences of the pandemic, transforming difficulties into opportunities.

It is significant that she has chosen a quotation by Albert Einstein as the motto of the school: “The crisis is the greatest blessing for people and nations, because the crisis brings progress. Creativity comes from anxiety as the day comes from the dark night. E 'in the crisis that is inventiveness, discoveries and great strategies.” And this year, our school has made this its vision, as Antonella describes her first-person commitment in the educational community.
