What does social innovation in schools mean?
Serena Parisi defines the context of her experience as “very small” even thug her school, the 196° Circolo didattico in Rome is one of the very few Italian schools (three) that is experimenting with the laptop for every desk initiative and the JumPC notebook.
The school participates in many projects from Grandparents on the Internet to Vivere la strada (Experiencing the Road) and pays attention to the environment around it. Ms. Parisi claims that she feels part of “an enormous project to improve society as a citizen, as a teacher with the JumPC initiative and as an individual …”
