"The best thing about this summer camp is that you never get bored. We learn so many things,” says Michele, a student at the third and final week at the Hi-tech Summer Camps organized by FMD. The Rome Phyrtual Innovation Gym hosted 19 children (aged 7-12) who experimented with a creative and constructive use of new technology.
Working as young architects and craftsmen, the children sewed their digital canvas drawing inspiration from pixel art. They carved their wooden tablets to use it as a base for sewing the games and creations they had first designed with pixel art.
The many small squares created unique patterns and drawings describing their passions on the canvas: Pikachu, Gameboy and Rock music symbols. In addition to adding a personal touch with the programming of a small CodeBug, the young designers also produced a video-story of their activities during the week.
