The first edition of the Phyrtual Innovation Week 2016 promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and companies investing in education will be held in Rome: a full week of events (October 3-8) to debate with experts, decision makers and managers and discover new didactic practices, test innovative tools and learn about the new digital environments at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym. Five projects dedicated to young men and women will kick off: Coding Girls, IoT Acceleration, Women in Technology, Internet of Everything and Phyrtual Factory. Moreover, a new model for education will be presented at the Rome Campidoglio with Tullio De Mauro.

 

The Fondazione Mondo Digitale has always supported schools and starts this new year with the first edition of the Phyrtual Innovation Week (Rome, October 3-8). The objective is to share networks, projects and educational programmes with the community of innovators and citizens and contribute to the process of alignment of schools with the new educational challenges of an increasingly complex society. A new project will be presented each day to the “generation in transition” to increase its awareness and make it an integral part of the processes of change.

 

On Monday, October 3 (10 am) the first event at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym will be "Solutions to Share: The Talent of Digital Natives” and the presentation of Project “IoT Acceleration” in collaboration with the Lars Magnum Ericsson Foundation.

 

Social innovation, local projects and generative welfare are the focus of “Female Empowerment: How Important Are Soft Skills?" on Tuesday, October 4 to discover the challenge launched by the Fondazione Costa Crociere to young women in Southern Italy with Project “Women in Technology.”

 

From Augmented Reality Expert to Social Media Strategy, from Data Scientist to Reputation Manager, day three (October 5) will be dedicated to “New Jobs in Sensible Cities” and the launch of Project “Internet of Everything” in collaboration with Cisco.

 

On Thursday, October 6, the appointment is at 10 am at the Rome Campidoglio for a debate on the Life Education Model: "School and Great Contemporary Challenges.”

 

It’s back to the Phyrtual Innovation Gym on Friday, October 7, for a day dedicated to “Generation in Transition” and the presentation of the Phyrtual Factory, the youth pre-accelerator for students at school or in university.

 

On Saturday, October 8, “Good Innovation Practices in Didactics” with the publication on “Innovation in Roman Schools: Digital Devices and Educational Proposals at the Rome “Città Educativa” to share experiences and projects through an exhibition and a challenge amongst knowledge volunteers.

 

Throughout the entire week, the digital environments at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym will be open to schools and citizens who wish to experiment with new technologies for immersive and transformative learning.

The Phyrtual Innovation Week will be preceded by the launch of the “Coding Girls” Project promoted by the United States Embassy in Italy and Microsoft to tackle the gender gap.
