San Donà di Piave with over 40,000 residents is the third largest municipality in the metropolitan area of Venice. And one out of every five residents is older than 65. Women represent 60% of this age group.
The new edition of Grandparents On-line. Everyone’s Young at the Post Office has arrived in the “Basso Piave” area. Last Friday, in fact, the project promoted by the Italian Postal System and Fondazione Mondo Digitale, kicked off in the Veneto at the IIS V. Volterra School manged by Headmaster Erminia Bosnia.
Classroom activities are coordinated by Prof. Caterina Fregonese, while Eleonora Curatola, who was present on behalf of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, recorded this interview with Alessandro, a former employee of Poste Italiane, and Matteo, a student tutor.
Alessandro’s children and grandchildren also attended the same school, but tutor Matteo was the first with the patience to introduce him to the world of technology.
