A teacher and coach, Stefania Altieri is also a Scientix ambassador and eTwinning moderator for a European group on coding. She loves new technology and digital didactic activities. Moreover, she firmly believes in the role of teachers to educate the new generations towards a better and more responsible future.

Stefania Altieri teaches at the Istituto Comprensivo Valle del Conca di San Clemente, in the Province of Rimini. She shared her experience at the Global Junior Challenge through a video message: “Participating in the competition contributed to the change and wellbeing of the classes in an inclusive and involving manner.”

In 2017, Stefania presented Project “Hello Scratch.” It was developed on an e-twinning platform to stimulate the creativity and computational thought of children. The video includes her memory of the 2019 awards ceremony at the Rome Campidoglio, an emotional moment that provided an opportunity for personal growth and more.

Prof. Altieri was a “Best Innovating Teacher” candidate at the tenth edition of the Global Junior Challenge. “I am trying to be a protagonist of the role that I am lucky enough to have. I believe in the superpowers of coding, STEM and digital tools, because as teachers we are custodians of our future as well as that of our students.”

The end of the month is quickly approaching. The deadline to present candidatures or projects to the International Global Junior Challenge, dedicated to Tullio De Mauro, is July 31.
