Today, the Robotics Centre at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym will welcome year six students from the Istituto comprensivo Via dell’Archeologia in Rome.
 
The students, aged 10-11, will be helped by Engineer Mohamed Gaber Haiba to discover the full potential of the Lego Mindstorms NXT Kit, a system of smart bricks that can be programmed in open source.
 
The Kit includes:
   One 32-bit NXT chip brick with a rechargeable battery
   Robust construction system with over 500 components (axles, gears, pulleys, etc.)
   Three interactive servomotors with integrated encoders
   Distance and ultrasound sensors
   Sound sensor
   Light sensor
   Pressure sensor
 
The laboratories at the Robotics Centre are open every day except for Wednesday from 9:30 to 12:30 am at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym Robotics Centre in via del Quadraro 102 (Tuscolano neighbourhood).
