Today, the Robotics Centre at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym will welcome year six students from the Istituto comprensivo Via dell’Archeologia in Rome.
The students, aged 10-11, will be helped by Engineer Mohamed Gaber Haiba to discover the full potential of the Lego Mindstorms NXT Kit, a system of smart bricks that can be programmed in open source.
The Kit includes:
• One 32-bit NXT chip brick with a rechargeable battery
• Robust construction system with over 500 components (axles, gears, pulleys, etc.)
• Three interactive servomotors with integrated encoders
• Distance and ultrasound sensors
• Sound sensor
• Light sensor
• Pressure sensor
The laboratories at the Robotics Centre are open every day except for Wednesday from 9:30 to 12:30 am at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym Robotics Centre in via del Quadraro 102 (Tuscolano neighbourhood).
