Today and tomorrow, the consortium of partners promoting Project MaTHiSiS “Managing Affective-learning THrough Intelligent atoms and Smart InteractionS will meet in Thessalonica, Greece. The project is financed by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 ICT 2015 – Information and Communication Technologies Programme.
The first plenary meeting will be held at the Centre for Research and Technology - Hellas (CERTH). Annaleda Mazzucato will participate on behalf of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
The consortium, which will work together for 36 months (Jan. 2016 – Dec. 2018), includes 18 partners from 9 European countries (Spain, France, Greece, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Germany and Lithuania). The Fondazione Mondo Digitale is one of the Italian partners.
The objective of Project MaTHiSiS - Managing Affective-learning THrough Intelligent atoms and Smart InteractionS is to provide a system-product including a curricula and professional training for individuals with intellectual disabilities that have been recognized, but not yet diagnosed.
The project will employ avant-garde technology, ranging from specialized robots to mobile devices, to create an educational robot-machine-computer-human interaction scheme based on custom-tailored learning objectives.
MaTHiSiS will be tested and validated in five areas: autism, multiple and profound learning disabilities, school education, professional training and distance professional orientation.
